(TRUST Co.) chose (M&I Est.) to carryout special installation works pertaining grain dampening system for the sake of (Jordan Silos & Supply General Co. – Juwaideh Mills).

Scope of work includes design and manufacture stainless steel structure & special parts to hold 25T/h grain flowmeter and a microwave-type grain humidity measuring device manufactured by OCRIM in vertical arrangement / gravitational-flowline. M&I chose stainless steel 304 tubes, pipes and fittings to perform installation, customized solutions such as rubber-pad and rubber-screw-ferrules were tailored to mount the flowmeter and prevent it against vibrations; Special fabric collar / sleeves with steel straps were customized to join 5” stainless steel pipes in such a way that never hinder grain flow and at the same time allow easy future maintenance process that might entails segregating system parts totally by just unscrew and removing the fabric collars. M&I also manufactured special industrial water basins and installed underneath water preparation panel, special water tank and feed-pump related to the dampening system.

Work started by removing existing (old system) without stopping the production line more than one hour. Plumbing and electrical/control works were already finalized prior to intervention. Main control panel was installed and tested successfully such that after receiving flowmeter signal as well as humidity reading; It produces 4~20mA control signal to manipulate throttling valve that governs amount of water to be injected inside a grain-mixing-screw such that targeted dampening level is achieved prior to the following milling process.

Thanks to competent M&I team who succeeded to conclude these special installation works, setout, calibrate, operate and handover automated system, fully functional to the end client, followed by training session for his operation as well as maintenance team … let us review some photos!
