Tobacco factories have sophisticated machines used in producing massive quantity of cigarettes. Rigorous QC stipulations are imposed generally in this industry. Once upon a time, one of the prominent local cigarettes factories asked M&I Est. to design, manufacture and install tailored solution for monitoring low level of high viscosity printing ink within a small ink tank within huge cigarettes machine G.D S.p.A A low level detector (sensor) were designed and manufactured in compact shape, suitable for direct installation at GD machine’s ink-tank, without any modification at machine parts nor drilling within tank wall or top cover.
Sensor stem is immersed inside ink, such that free movement cylindrical disk adheres to ink surface (not immersed in) using ink surface drop concept to glide down by gravity and track ink surface level until predetermined low level point. Sensor is made of Aluminum with premium quality finishing, easily removed & remounted again at the time of ink refilling.
Also, we designed, manufactured and installed a wall-mounted panel – mimic concept to assist in monitor ink level and provide two-steps alarm for ink low level, immediate refill alert, visual signaling and silencing/acknowledge push button.
Panel receives signal from ink low level detector and control the audio-visual alarm unit accordingly.
